Labor Law Posters for Every State

Written by Megapay | Jul 13, 2026 3:43:14 PM

Federal labor posters are only half the equation. On top of the federal requirements, many states have their own labor posters that employers are required to display for employees.

These posters may cover everything from minimum wage and paid leave to workers' comp, anti-discrimination, and even other industry-specific rules.

If you're looking for guidance on federal poster requirements, electronic postings, or the rules surrounding remote and hybrid teams, check out our previous blog, What To Know: Labor Poster Compliance, where we get into federal posting requirements and when electronic delivery may be appropriate.

To make things easier, we've gathered links to each state's official labor poster resources below so you can quickly find the notices applicable to your workforce.

Labor Law Poster Requirements by State

A Few Things to Keep in Mind

  • Labor poster requirements can change as states update their employment laws
  • Employers with employees in multiple states should review requirements for every state where employees work
  • State posters supplement federal requirements, they don't replace them
  • Posting requirements can depend on different factors like company size, industry, or if you're a government contractor

Labor Laws Change. So Should Your Posters.

If only labor laws came with software updates and push notifications… but unfortunately, they don’t.

Maybe your state updated its minimum wage. Maybe a new paid leave came into effect. Either way, that poster hanging in your break room is now out of date!

Try reviewing your posters once or twice a year to make sure you’re still up to date.
